Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum

Lying right at the heart of Hanoi capital, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is Uncle Ho’s final resting place set in front of the gorgeous and historic Ba Dinh Square, where Uncle Ho read the Vietnam Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945. The Mausoleum was officially started on September 2nd 1973 and firstly opened in 1975 for Vietnamese people and international guests to come and pay their respect to the greatest figure of Vietnamese history.

A visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum should be combined with Ho Chi Minh Museum, Uncle Ho’s residence (stilt house & fish pond) and the unique architecture of One Pillar Pagoda.

The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum opens in morning every day in week, except Monday and Friday. It is a sacred place so you are required to dress formally. Shorts and sleeveless shirts are not accepted. Also, you aren’t permitted to bring hats, bags, phones and cameras inside as they must be deposited at two separate counters in the main entrance.
