3 million tourist arrivals travel to Khanh Hoa

The figure from the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism shows that the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa has received more than 3 million tourist arrivals in 2013, increasing over 29 percent – in comparison to the previous year, including 712,000 foreigners and 2.3 million domestic visitors, up 34 percent and 28 percent, respectively. Also, the province is said to welcome 11 million ones who are on one-day Nha Trang tour.

Thanks to a newly-established direct air route from Russia’s Far East to Cam Ranh Airport, along with another from Moscow to Nha Trang City, Russia was on the top of the list of countries sending citizens to Khanh Hoa with the number of 150,000 arrivals. The following ones are Australia, the US, France, the UK, and Germany. It is estimated that each foreign tourist will spend more than 3.2 days in Nha Trang on average.

So as to meet the increasing demand of visitors to Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa, the province has offered more than 540 tourist accommodations, including 48 three- to five-star hotels with nearly 15,000 well-equipped rooms as well as lots of shopping and entertainment centres.

The provincial authorities are planning to make further improvement on its tourist facilities and services in the next year 2014 in order to provide both foreign visitors and domestic ones with more high-quality tourism products and to make the coastal province of Khanh Hoa become one of the friendly, safe and healthy destinations in Vietnam.
