Kayaking in Halong Bay, a World Nature Heritage of Vietnam
The provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has recently reported that the Northen Province of Quang Ninh, Vietnam has welcomed nearly 7 million tourists since the start of the year, 94.3 percent of the year’s master plan and a 9 percent increase over the previous year.

This figure shows that the number of foreign tourists arrivals in Quang Ninh has reached more than 2.3 million, up 6 percent in comparison the same period in 2012, while more than 3.36 million tourists stayed overnight in Quang Ninh (for hotels and Halong cruises accommodations), up 16 percent year on year. Accordingly, the province’s tourism turnover over the past eleven months reached more than VND4.6 trillion, a year-on-year rise of 15 percent.

It is counted that the number of tourists to Halong bay in Quang Ninh Province reached 513,000, including more than 259,000 foreign arrivals in November. Total tourism turnover this month targeted an approximately VND426 billion.
