Firework shows in HCMC to welcome New Year

Ho Chi Minh City is planning to celebrate the New Year by high-range firework shows within 15 minutes at midnight on New Year’s Eve, Dec 31. The performances will take place at the front end of the Saigon River tunnel in district 2 and Dam Sen Park in district 11.

Besides, the show “Street light” running from Dec 19 to Jan 21 in Sai Gon downtown as well as the art performances in Ben Nghe canal and Gia Dinh Park on Dec 31 and Jan 1 are the other highlights to embrace the year 2014.

Meanwhile, the Ho Chi Minh city will also organize the “Book street fest” on Mac Thi Buoi, Nguyen Hue and Ngo Duc Ke streets in District 1 from Jan 28, 2014 to Feb 3, or from the 28th day of the last month in the lunar calendar to the 4th day of the Lunar New Year, so as to welcome the Lunar New Year (Traditional Vietnam Tet Holidays).

Moreover, people can join a “Nguyen Hue Flower Street fest” on Nguyen Hue street in district 1 during the event of the Book Street fest. Vegetables, fruits and stunning flower arrangements will be displayed on the Flower Street Festival.

Ho Chi Minh City is one of ideal destination for Tet holiday in Vietnam for most of foreigners. A variety of Ho Chi Minh tours will be launched to satisfy the increasing demands of visitors.
