Helicopter tours launched in Quang Binh
As scheduled from the end of 2013, the central province of Quang Binh will co-operate with Vietnam Helicopter Corporation on April 24th to launch the
helicopter tours of heritage sites (Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park) and other tourist spots in the locality of Quang Binh Province.
![]() Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, a must-see attraction in Quang Binh Few days ago, the first two maiden flights carrying provincial leaders and 10 journalists, which traveled a one-hour tour from Dong Hoi City, were successfully conducted. A flight for 22 passengers costs US$3,400, or nearly US$150 per person on average. Joining the helicopter tour in Quang Binh, tourists are offered chance to watch the World’s Natural Heritage Site of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park from height. Emergency aid will also be provided for those who enjoy adventure tours to explore Son Doong, En and Tu Lan caves. ![]() Son Doong Cave is the favorite attraction for adventurous travelers The Northern Vietnam Helicopter Company is currently conducting a number of pilot flights from April 20 to May 5 to serve tourists. Earlier, the company made fact-finding tours of places which helicopters can land on. In recent years, the tourism of Quang Binh has been strongly developed. Variety kinds of tours are launching including sea tour, spiritual tours, tours to Phong Nha – Ke Bang and tours to caves in the province. Quang Binh is blessed with more than 300 caves, including renowned Thien Duong, Phong Nha, and Son Doong caves. (Source VOV)
