Hue plans to develop beach tourism
A
master plan for beaches in Hue and its surroundings, carried out by the Hue provincial People’s Committee, has been categorized for tourism and the coastal areas for fishing and aquaculture.
According to the new plans, beaches must meet the criteria of 1.2km and 2.5km in length along with a width from land to the water’s edge of 0.03km to 0.15km. In addition, the plans also emphasizes that exploitation of each beach must adjust to the socio-economic development of the area where they are located. ![]() Charming sunset on Lang Co Beach |
![]() The Lang Co Beach resort in Hue Following the requirements, beaches for tourism will be in the five coastal districts including Phong Dien, Quang Dien, Huong Thuy, Phu Vang and Phu Loc districts. The two well-known beaches of Thuan An (in Phu Vang District) and Lang Co (in Phu Loc District) have received much investment. Up to now, there are 46 resorts and hotels located around the two famous beaches. They ensure to provide with full services to tourist. Remarkably, after Lang Co Beach was recognized as one of the most beautiful bays in the world, the number of visitors coming to this site has increased by 25%. |
