Phu Yen ready for Seafood Festival 2014
![]() The hidden charm of central southern region of Phu Yen According to the Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Ho Van Tien, the central southern coastal province of Phu Yen is now ready for the Vietnam Seafood Festival celebrating from March 27th to April 2nd. Under the theme of “Vietnamese Seafood – Integration and Development”, the event is a great chance not only to honor and praise the traditional craft of seafood farming and fishing, especially tuna fishing, but to introduce the tangible and intangible cultural features of Vietnam’s coastal localities as well. It also helps the businesses and enterprises in the seafood sector to boost their connectivity. Accordingly, at a press on March 24th, the Director Ho Van Tien emphasized that the seafood festival taken place in Phu Yen will include 18 events, ranging from seafood exhibitions and aquaculture forums to workshops on fishery development along with its trade promotion.
