“Rest point for tourists” to open in Hoi An Ancient town
Hoi An Ancient Town decided to establish the
“Rest point for tourists” building at 57 Tran Phu Street on the occasion of the 14th anniversary since
Hoi An ancient town was recognized as a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.
The “Rest point for tourists” is built in two stories covering an area of more than 200 square meters. Lots of paintings by local and foreign artists, photos, prints as well as travel guide books of the ancient town are displayed in the house. Besides this house, tourists have chance to visit the adjacent heritage spaces such as the Exhibition House at 46 Hoi An and the Folk Cultural Museum at 33 Tran Phu Street, Hoi An Traditional Art Performance House on Bach Dang Street and Hoai River. Used to be the bustling major trading center of Southeast Asia in the 16-17 centuries, Hoi An Ancient Town is regarded as one of the most popular tourist destinations for both local and international visitors travelling to Vietnam. Thanks to its charming beauty and unique cultural values, the UNESCO recognized Hoi An as the World Cultural Heritage in 1999. Hoi An now becomes the "can-not-be-missed" in any package holidays in Vietnam. (Source SGGP) |
