Sapa-Fansipan Mountain equipped three-wire cable car system
Sapa plans to build the World’s longest and highest
three-wire cable car system in order to transfer tourists to the top of Fansipan Mountain (in
Lao Cai Province). The world-record setting cable car would be the only one which does not need a normal rescue system would be able to safely deliver passengers from the base of the mountain, to the summit and back under any circumstances.
It is scheduled that a subsidiary of Ba Na Cable Car Service intends to establish a luxury four-to-five-star resort on Fansipan as well as its hotels, entertainment and food areas, a new downtown and an 18-hole golf course. The plan would also develop the spiritual tourism on the top of Fansipan Mountain. The project is expected to help to boost the number of tourists to Lao Cai in general and to Sapa in particular to two million per year by 2017 and three million per year by 2020. |
