According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the
terrace fields in Sapa (including Lao Chai, Ta Van and Hau Thao Villages) was recognized as National Relic Sites on 18th October.
Thanks to its imposing beauty, the terrace fields in the Vietnam Northwestern mountainous areas in general and in Sapa in particular and is not only an alluring attraction for travelers to Vietnam but a great inspiration for photographers as well. Especially, when the terrace fields in planting and harvest seasons, they look like a stunning gigantic water-color painting curving around the high mountains. Up to now, the province of Lao Cai has set target to develop rural tourism which focuses on village and eco-tourism. It is an effective plan to promote images of Sapa stunning terrace fields and friendly ethnic people here. |
