The 2.5 millionth foreign visitor enter Hanoi

On December 20th, the capital of Vietnam - Hanoi has achieved its target two years ahead of schedule as it was honor to welcome the 2.5 millionth foreign visitor, a Japanese national, named Mori Hajime.
 
The Japanese tourist was a lucky one to be greeted and presented with flowers, gifts and an insignia at a ceremony held, which is attended by leaders from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism along with the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, taking place in Hanoi capital on the same day he reached Noi Bai Airport.

Answering for the warm and hospitable greet from Hanoi, Mori expressed that he was very happy to be the 2.5 millionth foreign visitor entering Hanoi. “It is even more significant as Vietnam and Japan will celebrate the 40th anniversary of their diplomatic ties in this year 2013”, he added.

According to the statistics conducted by the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the total of visitor to Hanoi in the 3rd quarter of 2013 reached more than 4.6 million, of which 731,000 visitors are foreign one, up15 percent from the same period in 2012.

So far, visitors to Hanoi have been offered variety of tours to satisfy each visitor’s increasing demand. If you spend a little time staying in Hanoi, short hour Hanoi city tours are recommended.
 
Otherwise, you stay in Hanoi longer; you are advisable to take some trips from Hanoi or some tours departure from Hanoi to Northern Highlights of Vietnam.
